Huge electric energy of 240MWh/year has been distributed to power one billion sets of cellular phones in the world. This means that the humankind newly experiences ever-huge and ever-hyperfine energy system which worth each bit of information communication.

It is our unique idea that the control of nano/micro scale magnetic filed and magnetic energy will drive next generation IT technology: A high energy-efficiency integrated ferromagnetic inductor will result in a high efficiency (>90%) planar dc-to-dc converter chip, which extremely accelerates power saving technique in the IT devices. We can extend the chance to communicate in a weak radio wave environment based on the development of a high-Q RF micro inductor for the RF front-end circuitry in cellular phone electronics. A high-frequency and high-spatial-resolution micro magnetic field probe is quite useful to analyze electromagnetic interference (EMI) in an IT device where the frequency of digital signal processing conflicts with that of analogue telecommunication. It becomes realistic to suppress in-line electromagnetic noise and raise signal integrity of an LSI by means of integrated ferromagnetic film. These are in progress in our laboratory.
